I'm curious as to where kosmo found 107ft deep water in Ky Lake ...
    ------

I think your discussion is on track with the "DI from SI" painting the echoes on the display where they might not actually be ... (painting echoes at "x" feet depth ... When the echoes could be "x" feet out to the side) ...

The lack of echoes below the thermocline in the 2d would seem to agree with your discussion also ...

The deepest depth that I saw that day was 114 ft.
The area's that I have circled are prop wash from other boats.look at how deep the prop wash appears to be in the DI view.knowing this is prop wash, there's no way for it to be that deep..

Kosmo ... That prop wash is a great example of how the DI and SI can distort how deep something is ..... Prop wash well off to the side is interpreted to be deeper in the water.

KOMOS,WHERE U MARK IN RED ON SI ,I DON'T THINK THAT IS THERMOCLINE,IF U NOTICE ON LEFT SIDE IT GOES COMPLETLY OFF THAT SIDE BUT IS STILL INTACK ON RIGHT SIDE AND GOES BACK TO LEFT SIDE,I THINK IT IS PROP WASH FROM A BOAT.I ONCE TRACK A NOTHER BOAT TO WHERE HE HAD BEEN BY FOLLOWING HIS PROP WASH FOR OVER A MILE TO ANOTHER DOCK AND KNEW HE HAD JUST FISH THAT ONE SO HAD TO GO TO ANOTHER ONE
