    Default What Feature Would You Add to Electronics?


    If you could suggest something to the electronic wizards of Lowrance and Humminbird, what would it be?

    I have trouble getting on my waypoints. I usually put up a splitscreen with lakemaster and SI, then I try to drive myself to the waypoint I'm aiming at. Problem with that is that the GPS is jumping all over the place at slow speed and as I get closer, I'm trying to zoom the lakemaster in to 50' and trying to watch the SI at the same time. If I spot brush I assume it's my waypoint and I toss a buoy depending which side it showed up. Then I move to the bow and use DI to try to pin it down.

    So my suggestion might be (altho I don't want to commit to this in case something better comes in): Why not have waypoints show up in SI/DI as we approach them? We can create a waypoint using the cursor on an SI/DI view, so why can't a waypoint show up on those same views as we drive over them?

    Profiles... I would like to be able to save multiple configuration profiles that can be loaded on the fly or selected during power up.

    Color coded fish indicators ( red and green) so I now what side the boat they is on with the di and 2d.

    Better yet, have them automatically change when they see the boat moving. When on the TM, you'd have your "Brush Pile" setup operating. At idle, you'd go to the "Side/Down Scan Search" setup. When you opened it up, you'd go to "Navigation" setup. Zoom scale and everything could adjust depending on speed.
