Thread: 1st time recording and using Humviewer questions

I took another trip yesterday to the same pond and had the same results on the right side readout. It was pretty choppy on the water and I think I actually had the transducer come out of the water a time or 2 as I had black lines show up and it gave me an idea. I snapped the picture of my stern with 'ducer attached. Could its nearness to the surface be responsible in any way for my issue? This boat with the flat bottom really floats high on the surface. It seems I'd get it on both sides if that the case. With the clutter mostly near the bottom on the playback pics I previously posted I'm guessing its not the issue.
