Lowpro I open my shots in "Paint". I can turn, zoom crop ect. It seems to keep the shot together without to much of the blur effect.

I did the same thing. I have just purchased a 798 and put on the console. Want to learn to use it and how to interpret the screen before buying a bigger unit. I've already seen I need to slow down my scrolling and increase my sensitivity in order to gain some clearer pictures.
No trees today but without si unit would have not known the trough was there nor that it was stacked with crappie.....pulled 27 of these out of there before leaving. I have only had the 899 since March but it has been worth every penny. The software on the di needs some work though....IMHO.

Sweet Alpha! Love it when a plan comes together! I still really get a kick out of seeing them on the finder and then actually catching them!
Alpha, nice pic but where were u fishing with a water temp of 58 ?

Thanks.....It is an area known as "The Pond" below Center Hill Dam.......the Caney Fork River. My fishing trip...as planned....turned out to be a bust. I was after Gills and trout but none were in the area. The place always holds Gills so I was a little shocked to not find any. This was the first time I put the si unit in there. I learned a lot that will help me catch more fish out of there from now on. Found two areas that were 20 feet plus in depth.....had no clue those holes were in there. Have always caught crappie in there but never even fished the area in the pic. We would be a few yards away from dam in 8 feet of water and when we would cast in that direction would snag on bottom so I just always thought it was shallow right up to dam. Looking at the image one can see why it would hold crappie. Not place for boats though. Depending on water level one would have some issues getting back there.

Way to figure them out bud! Is that paddle marks on the side of center line?
With shots and results like that....wouldn't change a thing, looks great!
