Default help finding crappie under docks with HB 899

The pic with the bright line is the side of a pontoon boat tied to a floating dock. I cant see any fish under this dock, but i caught them. The other pics is a dock with pilings, is there any fish under this one? I also caught fish here to, but im having trouble seeing them on my unit.

Sorry guys, Im new to this posting pic thing. The top and bottom pic is the same dock. The middle two are the same dock. Also, The Transducer is on the back of the boat, Is the turbulence to the left, prop wash?

99% time you will not see fish under docks or on the bank. I was pretty disappointed at this when I first got Si.

    Same with a HB898 and a Low HDS8.

The line to the left of the center line is most likely something on your transom to the left of the xducer that the pulse is reflecting off of...jackplate, livewell screen, motor...etc...

Set the SI to about 10ft...left side only and it will give you a good idea how far the reflective obstruction is from the xducer....

A couple of tips about scanning docks, pilings, vertical trees... (and under docks)...

*Slow the boat down to less than 1mph to allow more pings to reflect off the fish...
*Speed the chart up to 2 or 3 to "stretch" those fish echoes down the screen....
*Use the 455kHz because it covers all the way to the water's surface...

Also.....turn off the other side of the side imaging and only display the side you are looking at......That will double your screen real estate for that side.

Something else that may help is make sure you lower your screen speed to match your boat speed, it'll definitely help make those fish pop out.....
