Those holes are either bass or bluegill beds. (Or maybe some other type of fish)

is it still freezing up?

Still does it mainly when I am trying to go from side to down imaging of vice versa

Call it in. That is not normal, I have 3 HDS units (7, 10 & 12) and none of them do what you say yours is doing.

New software update and now no issues. Don't know if that was the problem or something else was but it worked all day today.
