    Yes it can. Zip through a bay watching SS and marking waypoints, then fish the best spots.

    I'd always put SS on the console first.

    It would be hard for me to buy a 7T over a HDS 8, the 7T gives up quiet a bit of screen size to the 8. There are some great deals on HDS 8 Bundles now with the $300 rebates, plus some dealers are offering discounts also.

    Side scan is a great structure finding tool, I have it on the console and on the bow and am seriously considering selling the LSS-1 and replacing it with a HDI td for the down scan. I seldom use the side scan up front.

    Go brush to brush in an area
