You'll need sombody smarter than me to explain how the onix works.all I can do is show pictures. I can tell you this, while the 360 is running and surface clutter is set to 1,I can get really decent di shots at very slow boat speed.this cannot be done once the 360 is turned off

I wonder if the onix is getting the info for the DI shot from the 360? What transducer is even in the 360? If the onix is deriving its info from the 360 that would explain how it could get good di, (if it has a DI element in it) at such a low boat speed? Maybe Greg can give us a clue?
Great work and thanks for posting the images!! When the di is deployed, which transducer or freq do you choose? Or is it just one option that says 360?

    brettw is right.
The DI sonar in the ONIX units is separetae from the Si sonar and so comes from the DI element within its own transducer.

I think that you all are misunderstanding me.while the 360 is running I can get very decent di with the boat only moving at .2 to .5 mph.once the 360 is turned off the boat has to be moving faster to get decent di.(the di is coming from the all in one transducer, not the 360)

That's really curious Kosmo.......You said the ping on the 2D seems to slow down with the 360 connected.....maybe something changes in the DI ping also?
