A while back I was commenting on how well my Dragonfly was working out for me. Every other depth finder/fishfinder I've had was a compulsive liar and I only trusted them for depth. This dragonfly is the exception, I can mark them with the color sonar and confirm what I am looking at with the down imaging. I have the navionics updates card which allows me to get the updates almost everyday and has very detailed maps of the lakes that I frequent. Combine all of the above with the chart plotter and I cannot see what there is not to like about this unit except for the huge transducer. So far It has been phenomenal and I give it a big thumbs up. Last time I was telling you how well it does in the river and you can adjust it to eliminate all of the false signals and clutter. My wife and I went to the Congaree river which was heavily stained and had a lot of trash floating. Striper fishing was OK and we caught several fish and one keeper over 26". I cant' wait to show you how it shines on the lake over a school of fish. Someone mentioned that I should be able to take a screen shot without having to remove the chart card. I checked with Raymarine again and they state that you must remove the Chart card and replace it with a blank micro SD card to take a screen shot, the unit has only one SD card slot, this is kind of a bummer as well so I just took some pictures with my phone. First if a brush pile and second is my better half with her keeper fish the third is another brush pile. I bought the unit when they were having a promotional sale and paid $499.00, it is not a $2500.00 unit but I think I got the biggest bang for my buck.![]()
