Which 2d piezo (in which xducer) are you using for depth when you're using the XNT 9 DI T on your SI unit...??

The DI image in the HB SI units is a "computer generated blend" of the left and right SI image data...
This is a post from Greg in another thread...
The Di sonar in the HB Si units is a blend of both the left and right Si sonar:
*- take the right Si sonar and rotate it 90 degrees clockwise.
*- take the left Si sonar and flip it horizontally (mirror image) and then rotate it 90 degrees clockwise.
*- overlay the two images and you have a Di sonar image.

[QUOTE=kosmo;2468281]Nice shots Robert Nelson, even thought they aren't great, they are better than what others are getting. Since your posts about the software issues are 90% screen shots, is that because you are saying that there is no problem? Just wondering because it's your normal response to problems.
in those picture the 2d is coming from the xnt 9 di t. a person really needs to run both xnt 9 di t then switch to the si transducer to see the difference between them.the 2d coming from the xnd 9 di t will show better detail for some reason.seems like the xnt 9 di t and the si transducer would be the same if both on the 200khz but there not.i see no reason for one displaying different from the other but they do.

The above article explains how piezoe elements are made...such that 1 of the frequencies vibrates along the "thickness" of the piezo ....and the other frequency vibrates along the "diameter" of the piezo...
The 2d piezo in the HDSI xducer is made to vibrate at 200kHz/83kHz...
The 2d piezo in the XNT 9 DI T xducer is made to vibrate at 455kHz/200kHz...
It is possible that the 200kHz of the HDSI is vibrating across the "thickness" of the piezo...and the 200kHz of the XNT 9 DI T is vibrating across the "diameter" of the piezo...(or vice-versa)

I'm sorry, but I just don't see the clarity in the DI shots. I do think the 2D shots are real good.

why does my down imaging have these lines that appear with my sharpness on. it only seems to happen when my chart speed is set to 2 or lower.. any suggestions guys?
I no what my sugestion would be but im not going to post it..i have not had this happen but stymie has posted about this.... I vbelieve its a siftware glitch
