Nice shots. Now if I only could have seen my HB screen in the sun, I might have kept it.
...Bill
canepole, your comment is totally un called for..we both fish the same lakes and no the dept..we both no the max..Di ratings for both name brands it makes no sense, Your 1000ft. Your just mad because you no that I've posted great si shots and you no that the touch units will never be able to compare.there's yet to be a Di shot on 455 also that my humminbird can't compete with either.and what's up with that freeking 1ft. Transducer that doesn't even have a 2d element.there hasn't been a Transducer that big sense noas ark.they used big rocks tied to ropes to find the bottom.

When I keep my gratitude higher than my expectations I have a good day
bobb,
speaking ofcone angles, whats the angle on di using 455 vs 800 kHz?
thanks
UOTE=BobB;2406632]No, the SI coverages are not the same. HB has a full 180 degree coverage with 455Khz and Lowrance does not.....the HB SI coverage is also greater with 800KHZ. Lowrance will not officially publish their SI beam coverage.
The SI coverage is what Lowrance had to sacrifice in order to utilize the dedicated DI transducer in their structure scan transducers.....it is not the transducer itself that causes this, rather the filtering that has to be applied to the software to prevent interference between the dedicated DI transducer and the SI transducers.[/QUOTE]
I chose lowrance because it does everything it's supposed to. and does them easily
My Daddy can beat your Daddy up!!Isn't it time to put this thread to rest.
