Rickie is right, depth readings cannot be correct, but I always keep depth lines on, and quite easily see that the depth is 13 feet on these screenshots
I would think in shallow water application ...this scenario of the depth not being correct because of the angled xducer orientation probably would not be so much of an issue..

The edge of the beam (left or right depending on which way the xducer is rotated) is still going to contact bottom...
