In the HB they range from a 598 to 1198, and HDS is from 5 to 12 touch. What works well for distance settings on one unit, may not work well on another. I know this for a fact because I have owned a 700 series HB. I've owned/witnessed larger screen units. 80+ft per side may be fine on a large screen unit, but it's going to be harder to interpret on a smaller screen. That's just a fact. I'm not trying to kill any thread or continue your pissing match.
ok, ill go that .what you said about that youve own a 700 series and you feel qualified to comment.now if you would go out on that boat with your friend that has the 360 youall be able to comment in the same context.

Not sure who you are, or think you are, but I don't need approval from you to comment on anything including the 360. Of the 4 or 5 360 units I've even heard of, 4 of them have been replaced by HB, including yours right? Some of them have been replaced two or more times. That's a fact too, is that ok?

I have a HB 798 csi and you can extend the range to 75' + while searching. Then when you can turn to check out an object on a shorter range on 1 side only. This will magnify the object much more, do it all the time. That's what you do when you don't spend the big bux.
Trump is like the guy that comes on the playground and beats up on the guys that's been pushing you around for the last 30 or 40 years.

    Good point ricky...

I also switch to SI "one side only" .....when running parallel to bank looking for bream beds...it makes the targets alot bigger on the screen...
