I was going to go with the 597 as well. It appears to be a good unit. I have been selling some of the stuff I used for ice fishing. We don't get enough ice to fish here in MO like we did in Northern IL. Then my wife saw the Bass Pro add in the Sunday paper and she suggested the 598 . Whats a guy to do???
