I have better luck turning the contrast down.the lower the setting the more that the structure and the fish will stand out.

How much should I adjust the sensitivity and contrast. I think I was running 12 and 8

My si and di are also not the same. I was saying on my si. On my di it is like 14-16 and 9-11
I think that Rickie was meaning more generally that the Di sonar information is affected by what the Si sonar beams “see” and that the frequency you select for the Si sonar controls the frequency used for the Di sonar. Basically if it does not show up in the Si sonar it will not show up in the Di sonar. Now the settings you use for each are independent so you could set each such that you could see something on the Di sonar but not the Si sonar or vice-versa.
so when running the 800 the unit seems much brighter do i need to adjust down my sensitivity to make the image not so hot. im going to the lake shortly i am going to try new things and see how it works anyway. im starting to get the feel of it just not alll the way yet. a slow work in progress but i know it will pay off when i get everything figured out.
thanks

I went out today and used the 800 and had alot more success than the 455. I will post ss from my recordings I took today
I need to adjust my side imaging down a little when I got in the shallower water but I paid more attention to the di today since it was operating properly
