I'm pretty confident in my sacalait jig tying but was completely lost when a buddy gave me some heads to tie up jigs for redfish
I did this one and have no idea if I did it right or if I used right materials or. Well just about everything.
Any help, tips, tricks or advice would be appreciated bf I go messing up any more jigheads.
Thx,
Adam

Use buck tail . White , yellow , chart. you can throw in some pink ,orange or flash . Red throat and the thread neck should be roughly half as long . Just my dime in the juke box . Tied around 100 this month . The jig you tied is not a bad job . Hang in there buck tail is a little tricky .
Y'all never use a blue white and olive combo? Like a crab? Redfish tear that combo up, here.
Actually the most popular colors I've heard recently are LSU colors.
Yeh I did the partial Marabou/bucktail Bc I saw Lefty Krehl tie it on his DVD.
Will work on just bucktail then. Thx guys.
Hey Adam -
Try Sparkle Hair (TM) around 2 1/2 inches long and the thickness of a pencil on the back of a plain 1/8-ounce jig-head. Pink and chartreuse (Electric chicken) or solid purple are good colors, and if you really want a killer, add a #4 gold safety-pin spinner to it.
"DNA Holo Fusion" is also a fine substitute for bucktail, but to me, not quite as good as "Sparkle Hair".
Bon chance.
