The troll minnow bucket is hard to beat. put you a long line on it and you can adjust it to float right next to you or away from you. tie it to your belt loop. Once you get use to it you will forget its even there. Make sure you get the trolling kind though. If you use the one that are shaped like a normal bucket you will get a lot of drag. We use them all the time and I wouldnt trade mine for anything.
