Thread: A waiting game

A slow catching week this week. The water is not warming and as soon as it gains a degree or two the winds push it all away.
The fish are in close some times even to close to shore looking for warm water. The kings and browns are being caught on the near shore sides of the piers. We fished the pier heads and inside the nets with some bursts of action. A mix of spoons got us hooked up but short feeding bursts and then a lot of searching. Maybe this next week of stable weather will fire things up. With a slower spring this year we are waiting for a big salmon run at the end of the season.
