Thread: quality not quanity

A tough week of fishing, perfect fishing conditions, with water temps and fish in the area,but the alewife are still thick and making it difficult to have a fish grab a lure when they can have live bait fish swim into there mouths. We did get some big fish, but less than 5 fish a trip and the humbling skunk in the box on one trip. We have been throwing everything including the kitchen sink at them and it seems just a random pocket of active fish hooks up. Maybe the warming water will concentrate the fish in a area and get the bite going.
