The salmon run has slowed and a strong west wind or a heavy rain will be needed to get things going again. Fish are staging at the pier heads, but the bait fish are in and there is no consistant bite. The early afternoon, when the boat traffic is at it's lowest, is the best bite we have had. It's close to a full J-plug spread right now, with the boards seeing most of the hits. A number of short hits that rip line and throw the hooks, hard to figure out how they can throw those double trebles. It's that time of year where the winds and waves out deep have kept us working the shallow water, so we will have to wait for the next wave of salmon to move in.
