The salmon have moved in

We are staying near the pier heads and pulling J-plugs for the salmon run. The bite is on and off through out the entire day, when the muddy water comes out of the river the action is on. We picked up 7 on the morning of the dock derby but was bumped when another boat picked up a rainbow and brown in close and beat us on points. The evening trip was bouncy with 3-6 foot waves, but we made it back with 7 kings and a brown. The boating season is coming close to the end for us, but there still will be a salmon run for some time yet.
