    Default Been Busy Self Teaching

Hey folks. I have been busy lately teaching myself to do decorative wraps. Here's what I've been upto...
Please tell me what you all think. I did these on a couple of wooden dowels, but am going to start on My Rods shortly, as momma, Ms. Joyce, has some upcoming appointments...Name: 20250406_002008.jpg

Well, Rod building keeps me sane. Can't get out like I was, so reading posts here, watching Youtube and teaching myself to do wraps Keeps me close to the sport I love when I can't do it myself.
Hopefully I'll be back at it again in the near future...

Those all look good to me. It looks like you’re paying attention to the details. Think about taking an old rod and rebuilding it. Try not to chose one that’s painted cuz you’ll have to sand all that off. First is to practice your wraps on the real article and second, to try your hand at finishing. Also, wrapping guides towards a skinny tip can be a challenge. I think you’re ready for it.
