GB, I’m not going all out for the guides on a house brand china blank. I like the idea of the airwaves guide but the weight of the insert ring in the higher class guides is what I’m wanting to lose. The set I looked at was about $20. I also like the higher frame smaller ring that is on the Wally Marshall rods i have but i wanted to try the airwaves. The reel isn’t big and only 3” from rod to spool center so I don’t need to go super high frame guides either. Some of these choices can make your head hurt. My internal hard drive is about full.
