I must say that shooting docks is my main preferred way of hunting crappie. Don't mean I won't try something else tho. DSJ has been a great guide for me into this area of ketchen crappie. Right now our lake is at winter pool and lots of docks are water free or wading deep in water. I do try to hit a few that are in a good depth and usually find some feeshes but not always as the water is getting cooler especially in the more shallow areas. Some of my largest fish hve been caught under docks and in the fall. I try to respect the dock owners and if I see them I will ask if they mind me fishing their dock. No one has said "no". Tennessee folk are mostly nice and friendly that way. If they are using their dock I stay away. No one want an errant jig smashing their face ya know. Anyway fish on y'all.
