adding to an older thread I found sickle hooks to erase the need for "gnats " . The wider gap adds plenty of room for a minnow if you chose to add one . At the very least you do not have to switch baits also eliminating the need for fast-snaps . All this while power trolling or spider rigging . Also gives a deeper hook set while single pole fishing . jmo
