2 Minnow Rig Question

Hey, I had an idea I wanted to try this evening. I am going to head to the fishing hole at around 5pm and fish until dark (2 hours I guess). I was wondering, has anyone ever used a bobber and 2 minnows? I know how to do the bobber and 2 jigs, but thought I might try the 2 minnow trick. Would it be difficult, as both minnows would swim in other directions?

Should work fine. When I was a kid we used those old wire form 2 hook rigs with a weight on the bottom and a float. Caught a lot of fish.
