Mine has the same things. Older man told me to flush them out with water. Some kind of bugs that was not good for the worms.. I found that sprinkling cornmeal on top of my beds. Then cover that with news paper. Then wet that down, the worms grow fast and will clean all the food up by the next day. Went from 36 worms last summer. To now working on three beds and have more worms than I can fish with. But hope the grand kids help me thin them out son.

How often do you do the cornmeal/paper process? Daily, weekly?? Tried one without much success, wanting to try again.
