They use poly pipe to spawn rosies and fatheads in my neck off the woods in NE arkansas. its a flexible pipe that comes in a roll that inflates like a hose with water pressure maybe 16" in diameter. they run it down the edge of the pond in the shallows and the rosie lay the eggs inside it. it protects eggs from predators and makes it easy for them to move eggs to brooder ponds.
