That is so true. Let your setup just sit for a few days. Introduce your damp newspaper and then let the soil absorb moisture. It needs to be moist so the worms can slide easily and reproduce. NEVER EVER pour water on your soil. You are asking for trouble. Just let the damp newspapers work. Be sure you have air vent holes (tubing) throughut the soil. In about four more days introduce your red wigglers to their new ecosystem. (home) Pour some fine yellow cornmeal on the top. Cover and let stand.
