Been crappie fishing all my life until Grandfather and Uncle passed away about 10 yrs ago and I'm just now getting back into it. Always fished from boat with a single pole... mostly fished the Tenn-Tomm...this year I've fished Genada once and Sardis about 5 or 6 times....got my tail kicked at Grenada but, I've caught a few on Sardis....havent caught a limit of keepers yet though.
This WB character...dont know what to make of him yet....I do know he is a Poo flinging son of a gun. Lol!

Hey fellow's this is tenn a sea still trying to get some info on some crappie & bream fishing on a lake in ms. or tenn. I like to jig & troll for the fish. Just moved from las vegas after 5 years out there not enough water for me, i like to fish for all kind's of fish as long as they taste good in the grease, Ha Ha, so if anyone out there has been out on the water the last few days at sardis or enid, tunica cut off,granada even reelfoot lake i would like to from you. Started fishing at 5 yr old for bluegill and bullheads. Then moved on to
"Green Carp" until I couldn't lift all the lures I "had to have" Then started with
ultralight and found my passion! Now fish mostly Crappie and Walleye.
I've fished all over Wisconsin, Minnesota, Ontario, Michigan, Illinois as well as
Florida, Tennessee, Kentucky, Indiana, Missouri, Hawaii and England. I've also
built custom rods, repaired reels, ran a tackle shop. I make all my own buzz baits, spinnerbaits, in line spinners, jig heads, sinkers, ice fishing lures.
Recently started to tie jigs seriously although I did some years ago along with
bass bugs and critters. Favorite Lake......any with water over 3 feet deep!!!!
Founded DeKalb County Anglers Assm. Fish some tournaments. Taught both
my kids to fish and they love it. Now it's just wifey and I. Not only is she a
goodfisherwoman but a damn fine wife and mother to boot!!!
I enjoy this forum for all the good info and interesting characters on it.
I also participate in "The Rodbuilders Forum" which is similar but aimed at rod
building. Now that I've bored you with my life, I hope to "see" you all
on the forum and keep up the good work.

I started fishing as a kid with my dad and grandfather but it was never on the big lakes. We would bank fish Herb Parsons or some ponds around the house. I played to many sports for us to have time to take trips to the lake. I played football in college and it wasn't until after I left that I was able to start fishing at Enid with a longtime friend. It was always bass fishing until '03 when we really started to Crappie fish. I stil spend many of my days fishing at Enid where I stay with my buddy at his dads place just east of Long Branch boat ramp on 32. Got tired of fighting the wind in '05 and bought a 20' Skeeter that I do most of my fishing out of..probably have seen many of you through the years. Hope to get to know many of you and offer any help or ask for any in the near future...
How do Blue and welcome again, sounds like you'd make an excellent fishing partner. Please send pics of the boat. Bwahahahaha

YAll talk a lot more than the Alabama forum, im from north Al. been fishing since i was a kid fish mostly wheeler ,wilson because they are close to the house,like to fish bearcreek lake also ,like to fish for crappie,bluegill ,catfish

Hey, my name is Mike and I'm from Olive Branch. (OK, that's a lie, I'm ACTUALLY from Louisville, KY but I've been in the area for so long I forgot when I got here). I swung over to here ny way of tinboats.org where I post frequently. I do all kinds of fishing and don't limit myself to just Crappie. I'm in the process of getting my 2 boats back in shape. I've got an old 14' john boat that I just throw in the back of the truck to take to small ponds and lakes and I've also got an old Lowe 14' Big Jon that I'm just finishing rebuilding the trailer on. (It's a 1956 Holsclaw trailer that was passed down to me by my Dad and I figured that rebuilding it would be a tribute to he and my Uncle Charlie who taught me to fish.) If there's any interest I'll post pictures of it. I know it's just a boat trailer but I'm pretty proud of how it turned out.
Anyway, I've got a wife (who doesn't fish), 2 daughters (1 does, 1 doesn't) and 2 boys who both fish. And, a granddaughter who will fish, she just doesn't know it yet! I work at a software firm at the very top of Clark Tower in Memphis and I go to church every Sunday.

Hello fellow perch jerkers.
I'm from Holcomb/Money, MS and I'm an avid duck hunter but enjoy catching slab crappie also. I fish Grenada Lake mostly but also fish many of the small oxbows in the delta such as Bee Lake, Mossy Lake, Matthews Brake, and Six Lake and McIntyre Lake.
I just rigged my pontoon with trolling plate, rod holders and fish finder and have been pulling crankbaits for crappie for about 3 weeks now. To say the least, I'm hooked.:D

Well hi ya'll,
Found this sit via a co-worker, he started a fire under me this year. My boat was in cold storage for neary 9 years. Back in the spring he was never at work, was at Enid, trollin. Well he was kind enough to send home some of the bagies of the stuff (fillets) and man is it addictve. Got the boat water ready mid summer, made a few trips to the water and now have my own supply, (more fillets).
Live in Desoto county, 3 boys, one whom has made Eagel Scout this year and the other 2 working toward the same. Have fished north MS all my life, mostly under a float. But seeing the bounty of this trolling method will be doing more. Well enough if this introduction stuff for now.

waypoints are like gold they helped us at tunica and arkabuta during crappie masters

Can't have just anyone coming on and getting them. after all they are a secret. LOL Oh and don;t let that Wannabe guy tell you nothing and darn sure don;t get around him with fish, he'll take pictures of them, doctor the photo up and say he catch them.

My brother used to live up in Oakland. He's a preacher and used to have a church up that way. Think he gained about 50 pounds while he was there from all the AFTER CHURCH dinners. LOL

Thank's for the welcome guy's. I think I know your brother DonDon. My Grandfather use to own the Long branch bait store many moon's ago. That is how I learned to crappie fish. He was fishing Jig's when no one else was ,back in the day.Learned alot from that man.

Now he's got a church in Decatur and is also the Justice Court Judge in Newton County. LOL Darn sure wish now that I'd have gone crappie fishing with them back then instead of green carp fishing like I was doing
