On the Middle pick if you keep gettin hit's on it and your missing them their hittin short put a trailer hook on or trim the tail I'd opp. for the 2nd Good color' use a few of those Myself certianly that last one.
The last one is killer good job:D
Hays47,
IMHO just a tiny bit shorter on the tail. Try and get a clear focus on your pictures so others can see your fine work. Welcome to the hobby.
oh yeah, yer commin right along i'd say. now ya gotta find a secret place to squirrel away most of your material so momma thinks ya only bought a little bit of stuff. lol
Ditto Mike - excellent first ties.
Nice job. Crappie love all jigs. This is a good hobby and one of the best sites going.
Nice ties!!!! The first ones are always the toughtest getting things to look good, neat thread wraps. Keep tying it does get easier, and yeah hide your stash so the wife doesn't get it.
Fatman
Looks great, alot better than my first ones. I would shorten the tail just a tad though.
On the camera focus, most digitals have a macro setting for taking really close pics, you might try using that setting. Should clear up the focus problem pretty quick.
Thanks for the encouragement and advice guys . took pix with my new camera gonna go back to my old one more familiar with it. Will post a few more pix when the weather lets me tie a few more.
Is this hard to do? I haven't tried yet & was wondering...
It's easy and can get involved for just a small investment. It is very addictive.
Now ya get in on one of the jig swaps so you can see how everybody else does it and get you a whole boatload of new ideas for tying plus converse with some of the master tiers like Flatfish and A.W. and Sticksteer and Sandwichmaker and..... the list goes on and on. Then you can look at mine and see what you don't want to tie..lol...
it is as hard or easy as you want to make it Fisher...some jigs are a pain in the keester to tie some are so easy its rediculus...and the difficulty level has nothing what soever to do with the fish catching ability...some of the easiest to tie catch fish like nobody's buisness. WARNING...this hobby is all consuming....it will make you do STUPID things...I wonder if anybody would see me if I cut the tail off that road kill really fast.....hmmmmm Fido's tail color is perfect for that new jig I've been thinking about tying...If neighbor Jim goes to work a 8 am that means I can clean up his chicken coup and get all the feathers before he comes home for lunch at 1130...If I work 100 hours overtime this week I can pay off the credit card and the little lady will never know how much I spent at the fly shop...yeah that'll work.....
:D brim
Now your "hooked" like the rest of us!! Good job.
