So up until recently I've been working towards getting a Blackstone griddle and then I seen the Pit Boss. Anyone have a Pit Boss? What's everyone's opinion on it? I'm still leaning towards the Blackstone air fryer model though.

Certainly a lot of choices out there:popcorn
As long as it makes fried rice……..just sayin.
:biggrin
I know right, that and smash burgers!
I'm thinking the air fryer model Blackstone would cook some good fish and chips as well.
Well I for one am looking forward to the pictures of you culinary adventures!
Oddly, I have one of each. I got the Blackstone for the house first and when the Mrs. saw how versatile it was she suggested we get one for the camper. When it was time to purchase that one, the Pit Boss was on sale so that is the one I got. Blackstone is a 4 burner and PB is a 2 burner and a little smaller so it fits in the campers storage area. You can't make a wrong choice, just get the features you want and take the time to season it well.
I watched a review on one that pitboss has out that is Non Stick coated. Ceramic I believe
Probably the 5 burner ultimate or the Walmart exclusive sierra. I think all of the models are ceramic coated.
I'm a Blackstone guy.
I do know the ceramic is going to cut some of your utensils out to nylon ones and you want be able to use the heavy duty metals.
Sometimes I brown 8-10 pounds of burger meat at the time and I need the strength.
Also will limit your bacon presses and domes that you can steam with. I think they have some nylon domes now but I don't believe they have any presses.
Plus with metal utensils you get to make noise bang and clang.
I would like to have one of the air fryer models. They are high though. you can get a regular and a couple air fryers for what the combo cost.
Also keep in mind that the air fryer combo has to be plugged into an electrical outlet. Probably won't rule out some people but might others.
Definitely a hard cover on whatever you get is a must.
I'll be glad to answer whatever questions you have about blackstones if i can.
I am not sure how long the air fryer would last in a outdoor environment. Probably be a costly part to replace if BlackStone would offer it as a replacement part.
Yeah I think I’ve about decided to go with my original intentions and get the air fryer Blackstone. It has the hard lid. I could do burgers and fries all outside at same time. Fish and hush puppies, etc… gosh I’m getting hungry. Where’s the fried rice?
Blackstone 4 burner I have is fantastic!! Use it at least 3 days a week for everything from blackened fish, bacon, pancakes, eggs, hash browns, smash burgers, marinated chicken, fried rice…….
No complaints!

The new LOCO has piqued my interest! I have a blackstone and thinking real hard on upgrading!
What is this LOCO you speak of??? Looked them up... I do like the smart temp control.
Saw and ad for a grill using that technology. Essentially an outdoor oven at that point
I love my blackstone. I cook on it probably 4 days a week when the weather is nice. If you are in a windy environment like Kansas get the wind guards.
Had the Blackstone 4 burner for several years. It is good and they have good customer support.
Thanks Jerry
What'd you get SD?
Well I was going to go buy one this last weekend and wife asked me to wait until we get our floors done first of next month. I’m pretty sure the air fryer Blackstone is the one I will get.
:banghead…. I’m so upset. Ordering somethings we need in preparation for our flooring done at the house this next week and decide to look at Blackstone stuff. The air fryer model has jumped over $300 more now. :banghead Probably won’t be buying it now at least until that price comes back down.
That is one heck of an increase. August and September usually sees outdoor items go on clearance to get them gone so the winter stuff can take it's place.
Super Dave,
Where are you looking.
They are $697 on walmart right now which is only $105 more than the original cost.
I am looking at Walmart. $697 is what I was expecting but click and its $1009. Good to know that even $697 was high. Maybe they put on sale soon or something. I'd love to get one for $592!!!
Walmart puts all of it on sale so they can make room for the Christmas stuff.
Keep watching the ads. Memorial Day is a big time for grills and outdoor cookers to go on sale. Also, July 4th.

This is the one I plan on getting. I'll put it on a roll around table. We don't feed a crowd, most of the time it's just the two of us.

I looked at that one a few months ago. It does lool pretty nice. Being portable is nice as well
One of the Deal Guys on YouTube said to always check the Walmart app before making an in-store purchase. If the app shows a lower price, they will match it in the store.

Oh that’s so disappointing seeing price at $1,111. I really want the air fryer model and if necessary I can wait. Just really was looking forward to having one soon. Not going to pay that price. I will check in stores though and see if I can luck up and find one though for the $697.
They may have jacked the pric up in anticipation of a sale, so the sale price looks REALLY good.

Probably jacked price up because everyone looking to get one for this year. Maybe put on sale around July 4th or something. Who knows maybe having trouble with inventory and parts :dono

Have you tried brick seek?
Just use this website and put in your zip code.
SKU should already be in there
There are tons for $697 in Alabama and NC according to this
Now that is a pretty cool website. Found some in surrounding cities for $697. Just have to do a little driving but saving me a ton. Thank you!
I have been looking at new mowers. The price jumped up $400 while I was reading the specs
Well thanks to Snakebit I was able to find one for $697 in another city. Went yesterday and bought one even though I was going to wait one more week. I doubt I have time to assemble it though until after this next week. I’m excited, our girls are excited and I really think my wife will be too when she sees what it can do.
