I was wondering if anyone fishes the river and if you do have you been. I used to fish the river a few years ago and I always caught a few and then about 4 or 5 years ago the bite quit in my hole.

I haven't fished the river in quite a few years, but always did catch some nice Crappie from it, on occasion. The pilons at Clays Ferry bridge, when brush has washed up against them, have produced some good fish.Quote:

Hey CP, I assume you are in a boat on the river right? FYI- you may already this but I did find a place that sells minnows all year round called BackWater Baits on in Lexington on New Circle Road. We should get together and go..... But Im think Im gonna do like you said and wait til the first of April and go over with some minnows.
WOW that a great looking mess of fish!!!! I hope I can catch some like you. I feel so dumb asking questions but as my my said you'll never know til you ask. I have learned so much and I thank the good Lord that I can go fishing and talk to people like you ll on here. I still dont understand about the locks, like what "LOCK" is at the beach and dam there at the park?
