Put your waders on, Coach!
That swing was unknown yesterday afternoon. Lol. Maybe that’s where they’ll be. Ha

They shut the gates on 3 of the big 4 this morning. Arkabutla is still letting a little out.
Time to get in with the snakes! Waders are gonna slay em!

that is incredible. and just to think I fished there last Saturday.
Looks like another tuff spring for fishermen, but good for the pawn! More importantly, I hope all the folks down there stay safe. These waters are nothing to mess with!

talked to a guy at lunch who said he had worked out there for 24 years and that's higher at spillway than he has ever seen it.

Just imagine how bad it would be if the damns weren't there doing what they were made for!
Back when I was in high school, don’t ask, my summer job one year was with the AG&F (Arkansas Game and Fish), where we would sein the bar pits along the levee on the Ms river side. We used a 90’ sein with a two inch mesh, 5 of us pulling this thing. Our job was done for the day when we filled 6 of the 55 gal barrels to capacity. We dumped the fish in Grand Lake, and a lot of local ponds. Sometime we would make one drag and fill the barrels. If it was ever over two drags, it meant we had been there before. Point is, you could do this after every time the river flooded those pits. So, yes, I believe fish get trapped in pools and if they dry up, the fish die. Varmit food.
