Very nice CP, sometimes it's good to go back to the past.
Beautiful fish....the only way I fish is single pole casting.....love it.
Regards
that's how we fish at T hill but from the shore and my problem is casting it far enough out to drag bobber and jig back over brush or PVC. Need to learn how to get the right 10-12 foot pole, reel, line and weighted fixed bobber 40-60 feet. Any suggestions?
Were you just fishing banks or were you in a cove, creek, slough?
About as good as it gets without dad there.
If the water is stained get a bigger wieghted bobber, and maybe go down to a quality 4 lb test to get MAX distance, I have done well with a 4-5 inch wieghted cigar shaped bobber and a 10 long handle jigging pole to reach out and touch them, fishing as little as 18" deep, also a good mid sized spinning reel with lots of spool line capacity will help, A mid sized slip bobber butting right up to a 1/8th or 1/4 oz jig or a good sized split shot just above the jig with a slipbobber can be zinged a long ways. Good Luck
i guess I am just a basic fishermen. That is how I fish all the time.
good times
Nice, so much fun..the thrill of that cork going under, doesn't get any better.
great way to "fish" .
Wow! Nice crappie.
Wow!!! Nice catch!
I've gone back to some of that lately myself. My catch rate isn't big but some of the fish are. Glad you brought the fun of this method front and center. A very rewarding way to fish. Nice looking bag o fish you have on the table.
Good catch Russ
Congrats and basics are hard to beat for sure.
Those are some NICE crappie. I got started using a float and a pinkie jig. Caught lots of crappie w that set up. Lot to be said for the basics.
Nice job! That's still how I fish and have great success with.
I fish the way Dave and Lynn fish, my problem I guess is not knowing the Lake, creek or slough.been fishing the same lake (Creasant) and creek (dunes) with no luck for three years. The very first time I caught five three to four lb cats shooting docks on the northwest banks of the lake with a beetlespin (it was a crappie tournament). My stratagies are being basic stay at it and eventually I'll find my problem, How to catch crappie!
:pray
good heavens:notworthy Beautiful fishees!
