Dang, that is a good price!!!
WOW....good deal
That is a deal !
Something is going on, Walmart is not a dealer of ours, neither is Reds Gear, but they seem to be selling them. Hope they are not knock offs.. I invented some of these products and I'd loose money to sell them at that price.
I don't know how the consumer could know, but in order to claim warranty, you will need a receipt from an authorized dealer, which I'm letting you know now, they aren't. A good price is not always a good price.
Good price,my back hasn't hurt since I got me a set

There was a store in Tupelo a year or so ago selling North Face jackets.....come to find out they were not North Face.....they were counterfeit.

Ebay has the 4 rod spyderlok for 105.00 shipped.
Kinda long story but, I was talking to a vendor of another product a couple of weeks ago. He told me the same thing happened to them. They went to China to get their product manufactured because it was 2/3 cheaper than the local guy they had been using. After about a year their product started showing up at places like reds gear and Alibaba. What they had done was copy his product and even put his name on it and started selling it on the internet. Then folks were trying to get him to warranty them when they broke. They have a international patent on theirs and have been in court for a year or so but are about to get it stopped. I'm betting this is the same thing that is happening with E-Z's / Millennium products. I know we all want to save a Buck but is it really worth it when you look at sending those dollars to a Chinese corp verses a home grown small business. Even though those products are built in China. They still get covered with warranty and great quality control. Then when you buy this stuff and it's not up to par you want to blame Millennium and next thing you know their Reputation is shot and their out of business and your stuck with the cheap Chinese stuff as your only option. Then we set back and bemoan the fact we have lost jobs overseas and our small business's are going broke trying to compete. I just suggest be wise on your purchases, remember if it seems to good to be true it's probably is.
No, they went there because the local guy went to them and gave them a price that was 4 times higher than what he had been charging. Then later came back offering to sell them all the jig's and templates for making the product. They gave him the opportunity to bid on it again and he still came back with a price that would put them out of the market. These company's have gone there because we as a country refuse to pay what it costs to manufacture and sell products in this country. And don't get me wrong I understand saving money. And making a dollar stretch as much as anyone. And no their profit margin did not go up. And whether they are making more money or not was not the point I was trying to make.
So Bill, sounds like you are saying everything you sell is "Made In America". Is that true?
I'd like nothing better than to have all our products made here, but it's a quick way to go bankrupt this day and time with all the regs the gov has set. I have several stories about some products I tried to get manufactured here and it would cost me over 3 times what I could sell them for. You just can't buy watermelons for $.50 each and sell them 3 for a dollar.
The products we make are far superior in materials and workmanship than necessary. We do that because we care.
I don't have any problem standing behind all of our products 100%, but not any knock offs. If they aren't purchased from an authorized dealer, and you have a problem, you will be sol.
I just use two milk crates they work fine.
Glad you got in on this EZ, because if not I would have jumped on two of those this morning for that cost.
On the subject of made in China. 90% of the inventory (diamond blades and bits) we use in my business is made in China or Korea. From what I understand the labor cost is 16 to 1, meaning they can employ 16 workers to one of our American workers. Funny how we live in a country that kicks and screams about fair wages and human rights, but we turn a blind eye to other countries basically implementing a form of slave labor and who's workers live in our below the poverty level. I wish we could get back to the Made in America by Americans, but I don't see it happening anytime soon. :twocents
I'm with Snubbys, I was online getting ready to order when EZ posted up!
Glad you informed us!
Nobody can sell Only "Made In America". I was referring to the OTHER company that Cray was talking about NOT you or Millennium.
I guess the product that ducker saw on sale is a knockoff, but until that's proven, it's all speculation as to their originality.
You guys might need to be suing Walmart for selling a knockoff. I'm sure they are aware of the consequences for doing that, and if they were selling knockoffs of my product, my first call would be to an attorney.
I truly wish You and Millennium all the best that business has to offer. Again, my comment Was Not directed towards y'all.
FYI--All of the boat brands and Trailer brands I sell ARE "Made In America". The accessories on them and the engines--Not So Much.
Thanks for all y'alls support.
I just got off the phone with a guy that purchased from Amazon and he has a problem right out of the box. My suggestion to him was to send it back and get a refund. I'll send him one that I know is genuine and backed with our full warranty. You will have to make your own decision as to whether saving a few dollars is worth the potential head ache in the future, or as in his case, current head ache. We have materials and quality control that are second to none. It's your choice, pay me now or pay me later..
We didn't get in this fix over night, like 50+ years and we won't get out of it any quicker, imho, if we don't put a stop to some/most of these government regulations, we will never get back to the great "Made In America" we all want.
Sorry, Bill. I misinterpreted the statement. Haste makes waste..
none of these places are authorized dealers of ours, where else could they be getting them and selling at those prices. I sure can't sell for that, and my overhead is really, really small.... I didn't and am not in this for the money, I'm just a crappie fisherman and want to share as much as I can with my fellow crappie fishermen. I'm sure Millennium needs to make a profit, but not that much.
At least walmart put their own brand name on the YETI cup knock offs they are selling now......I bet they are made in the same factory in China
Is there nothing you can do ti stop this EZ?
just looked and they are no longer on sale
Afraid the "fishing" industry is not that way, Tracker...As long as cheap crap is being imported, it pretty well means other have to do the same to stay in business..
Yeh....the walmart website shows the Spyder Loks as being sold by RedsGear
Walmart still shows the seats but price is now $97.00.
Ducker, come to the crankfest and I'll give you ur prize.
To everyone, please review the following list of Walmart Marketplace Retailers. None to my knowledge are authorized dealers for Millennium Products. You really need to think about whether you want to save a couple dollars to use what looks like an inferior product with no warranty instead of buying the genuine product with full warranty. Buyer beware.
Answer Detail
The bad deal is, for folks that thought they were buying the genuine article, and get ripped off.
Not right for EZ to have to explain the mess either.
I would not give them any help..If you buy junk, there should be consequences.
Looks like it would be against the law for them to use millineums name and logo tho.....thats should be trademarked.

It probably is, but the problem is the Chinese who do it don't care because there is not much of anything you can do about it outside the international court system which would probably take years and hundred's of thousands of dollars to fight. They could probably do something with RedsGear but I don't know all the legalities of that. Like I said in my original post the biggest problem is this kind of stuff can ruin a small co and the reputation of someone like E-Z. And for them to be able to sell the product for a profit cheaper than E-Z can buy them it has to be a inferior product some how.
I am gonna keep getting my stuff from Gene
