With all the events planned in the spring, I think we might be wise to go ahead and select our date and place... After that we will have plenty of time to work everything else out. I know I sure had a good time.

I have done a little research as to whats available, dates will be an issue this spring with Easter falling the way it will and Enid's cabins are booked in advance for the next 2 years in March and April.
Some said they wouldn't go back to the campgrounds at Sardis because of the parking situation. Scott and I are going over to the campgrounds at North Graysport to look at them, SFCannon says they are really nice and with Hambones Cabins being just across the river everyone could be within 4 or 5 miles of each other if they wanted to be.
Dates is what really sux, March 14th is the FJ at Grenada (wouldn't be bad), march 21st is the MCC big Moma on Grenada, March 28th is the Crappie Masters on Grenada, April 4th weekend is Easter, April 11th is the FJ at Enid, April 18th and 25th are both open dates. Mid April is some of the best single poling we have down here so those dates aren't bad at all and we normally have more water.
Well theres a run down, someone can put up some polls, as usual I wont vote. Yall decide and I will be there if I can.
Yall decide and if I am where I can I will be there.
Whats wrong with May ? First or second weekend maybe ? Somebody else can kick the ball and set this one up....I am taking a break.
First weekend in May is the spring camp in TN at Reelfoot and the Sardis FJ, next weekend is Mother's day and the Sardis MCC tourney, after that open weekend then Memorial Day the last weekend.
Some of these may not matter to some and that's fine, just posting what is going on that we know of, we had gotten it all together when we were putting the FJ schedule together.
April 11th or 18th on Barnett would but you dead in the middle of the spawn hehe
Break???????????????? What broke????????? Haha.. You deserve one G..I am still the new guy, but from what Rees posts, anyone wanting to camp may need to get on it sooner than later...IMO
I don't blame you G. You work your tail off on these camps
Anything going on March 7th weekend? Kids will be on spring break until the 13th. Most of the cabins at Cossar are open until the 18th.
Kyle wasn't bad during fall break, had to pay $13 extra for grandson's tent, we had 3 sites together. No problem with parking on the grass. Most camper's want to be between the office and the ramp, south side. North side doesn't hardly get used. Sites 205 through 283. Most cabins are open until the last of March, Most have 1 bed and a hide-a-way.
It looks like April 18th or 25th to me unless you want to wait and have Summer Camp and make it a crank fest.:)
I like the idea of a crankfest at Enid
We would be in for a crankbait trip also. Our spring activities have us booked heavy this upcoming year.
I'll be in Texas the last week in March and the first week of April , any other dates and I'll do my best to be there.
May is not a good time because of mothers day, memorial day and because of all the graduation ceremonies going on but its not up to me. I just want to come down and meet ya'll and do some fishing. Anytime in march or april is good for me.
Crankfest sounds like fun, but the best crankin is after it gets HOT outside!!!!!! I agree with Stan, Summer Camp would be more like it.
We had a great week in June this year pulling cranks
I have no idea why that picture is sideways
But I love the idea of a crankbait camp
Thank you Sir
I liked it sideways better. Couldn't see all that Ugly as much. [emoji12]
Hey that's my pops!!! LoL
LoL. Its all in fun Bill. He'd probably agree with you. He's coming with me to the next camp.
Again, I think we need to pick a lake and time...Allot going on in the spring. Get this done, and we can do the rest anytime.
Every cabin open at Enid the weekend of the 14th. Just looked
14th of what?
March 14th
Keep me in the loop been craving me some more of that catfish lol
Rees I'll bring a extra tow rope for you
the march 14th weekend has 22 cabins open that weekend and if you got to the weekend of april 18th there are 20 cabins open, this is at Nadar. So you could fish the fruit jar and still be there for camp the weekend of the 14th.
Pick the date I'll make my reservation can't wait to head back down
I like to make my reservations too and to get the days off of work.
That's not a bad idea, at one time the Fruit Jar Directors pretty much got camp together, that task was removed from their list of things to do (thank goodness) so we as directors don't have as much going on now. Also if folks got their cabin at Hambones and the campers camped at North Graysport everyone would be just a few miles apart.
So who is in charge? Once we get the date and lake...everything else could wait. Especially if you want to fish Grenada
:dono:dono:dono:dono Someone will have to step up, I tried and was shot down and have since taken on responsibilities in another area so I'm out, heck I don't even vote on them just provide info in our area and show up if I can. Everyone will not be happy as whenever decided on it wont fit everyone's schedule, just life. Where ever it is decided on I plan to be there in a camper and enjoy the week with everyone who is able to make it.
Like I said in a earlier post.......I am taking a break on this one. Somebody else will have to step up and set up and organize the cookout and the door prizes etc. this time once everybody decides on a location and a date.
Thanks again G for all the work you have done in the past. Until you have run some events, people do not realize the details that have to be worked out to make it happen. John, thanks for the work you guys are doing on the tournaments. Hopefully you guys will not burn out.
So why not just call it for the weekend of March 14th at Grenada? There's no perfect weekend for everybody anyway. Fruit jar fisherman won't have a conflict and if us out of towners want to fish the tournament, we can, right? Good way for FJ to add to their kitty!
I like the idea of a big summer crankbait camp
