I have heard nothing of this and I would be the one who would verify the species and weight for a fish caught on Lake Conway. If this is true, please direct the angler to give ma a call.

I would really like to see the current record holder in person. Did it get mounted & is it on display anywhere? I still believe either mistakes or lying was involved with it. 18" long with a 13" girth just doesn't add up to 5#'s IMO.

Ya that's the one Wayne... My Ole Buddy Jimmy Joe caught that baby out there on a lone cypress tree, in 7-8 feet of water, with a Rosey Red. Dog Gone nice fish. HAHA!!!

Dang weather has been weird this year for sure, but Conway freezing over with snow on it? I musta been asleep when that happened.
The current world record white crappie is mounted and on display at the North Mississippi Fish Hatchery in the visistor center, at Enid Lake. Impressive, but nothing like this pic.Quote:
