Nice fish.....did you finish out your limit after the sun came up....or did they all shut down.....
Nice mess Chris. I think the BP is more important than the moon phase. I like to look at both. Since I can only fish on the weekends I don't let it keep me home. Just lets me have something to blame it on when they don't bite
Nice fish there CJ.
I pick out a limit at the pond this am.
I looked at the bp on the way to the lake this morning and I knew it was going to be a slow day. I don't pay much attention to moon phases, but I am a firm believer in the bp. I have an app that charts future and past pressures. I can go back to that chart after a day of fishing and see how it affected the fishing that day. On high pressure days, a slight drop can turn the fish on, when it levels out again they go back on lockdown. Same for extremely low pressure. They seem to respond well to a slight rise/fall, especially when it is extremely high or low. The ideal range (my opinion) is when it is between 29.9 and 30.12 and slightly rising or falling. Obviously, this situation is rare, but being aware of what the barometer is doing has helped me catch more fish. When it is super high, I look to deep brush, and when low, I look shallow.
Good stuff. Driscoll and Harrison have one hanging on there rod bars. Monkey see monkey do. Good info from guys who really catch fish.

Have you ever tracked how accurate the BP forecast is? I was under the impression that BP forecasts were almost impossible to make. This is the first BP forecast that I have seen. If this is fairly accurate I will be putting it on my phone tonight.
CMJ please give me the name of that app. Thanks for the info.

Chris, please send me the coordinates once more time. The first ones you gave me show to be in the Mojave desert.
Nice hold on the slabs (I assume they were over 8 inches).
Nice fish CMJ looks like you got the four fish hold down pretty good. Hope your enjoying that Ozark 10 footer.
I still prefer 11ft!!!!
Good job Chris...!
Chris, I do not need the app nor the coordinates or what color or depth you caught fish or the weather conditions. I simply need you to meet me at the X and simply catch these fish and then teach me the CP hold. Thank you that is all.
If you will teach me the hold I promise you I'm not to proud to hold your fish. :)
Looks like you got that hold down pat Chris....... You know fish can control their own pressure (and comfort zone) by their depth....and do.....Moon phases play an extremely important part in their feeding schedule.... Sometimes have to make enough educated guesses that one of them will nail it, LOL!
This seems to indicate Chris may be right. Crappie stacked low on the structure all the way to the bottom. Hmmmm...Maybe I should listen to slabman CMJ more often.

And for all you that are wondering, no, I didn't catch any, I was fishing too shallow. Old man in a blue jump suit fishing off the bank had a whole 5 gallon bucket full of fish and when he saw I didn't have any, gave me enough for supper.:biggrin
If i had longer arms, i think i could post some 3 to 4 pounders>
Here is a comparison from what the chart reads today as opposed to last week. It looks like the pressure is doing what was predicted, just about 12 hours ahead of schedule.

Very cool! Thanks for the update.
