Nice mess Chris. I think the BP is more important than the moon phase. I like to look at both. Since I can only fish on the weekends I don't let it keep me home. Just lets me have something to blame it on when they don't bite

I looked at the bp on the way to the lake this morning and I knew it was going to be a slow day. I don't pay much attention to moon phases, but I am a firm believer in the bp. I have an app that charts future and past pressures. I can go back to that chart after a day of fishing and see how it affected the fishing that day. On high pressure days, a slight drop can turn the fish on, when it levels out again they go back on lockdown. Same for extremely low pressure. They seem to respond well to a slight rise/fall, especially when it is extremely high or low. The ideal range (my opinion) is when it is between 29.9 and 30.12 and slightly rising or falling. Obviously, this situation is rare, but being aware of what the barometer is doing has helped me catch more fish. When it is super high, I look to deep brush, and when low, I look shallow.
