Not good
wow. bet that rattled your eye teeth. what did ya hit??
doc :)
That is why I have always put a SS prop on every motor I have had especially long ago when running on Toledo Bend. Sorry that happened to you. This kind of lake will eat he aluminum props like candy.
Oh that hurts (the pocket book)......you know, in the waters we fish in down here, no matter how careful you are, it's just gonna happen sometimes, no fault of your own.....I gather that in the picture, you are home and the prop is still on the motor, that you did not have a spare on board.....I don't either, but lots of folks do.....something to consider....sorry for your bad luck....and that cheated us out of another picture of a box of fish.....
I told you to watch out for those gators. Better a prop than a gearbox and shaft.
"gene"
how long before you're back on the water????I so look forward to your posts with box of fish......
Sorry to see Mr M.
Can always grab a paddle!
Like fish said, glad you're safe
And hope you're up n running soon.
somebody's gonna have to show me how to change a prop before I get a spare....
It amazes me how that can happen and no skag damage. I knocked a skag off once and no prop damage.:dono Get back after them, that's just a hiccup. Mine been in the shop for a week. Tore up axle.

Sorry about that but that's fishing. First post i see about Bayou Sorrell any good fishing in that area
Am I seeing things or is that prop on backwards?
X2. It would be on my motor.
JR what hp is your yammie?
That prop does look strange as in if it was on backwards. Maybe an optical illusion?

one blade is broken off and the other two are bent over. HTH
After you get your new prop on, give it a good spin to make sure you didn't bend the shaft at all... If you can see any wobble at all you need to get it straightened asap.
There's big chuncks of concrete to the left side of the ramp but I guess you know that now. That's why I always use the dock. Water's a little deeper.
Just hang tight. The Parish is getting ready to spend a ton of money and totally redo the whole thing complete with bathrooms!
Not trying to start anything here, jig rig, but that prop is on backwards. That bright ring goes inside the lower unit and the retaining nut should not be visible. If you been running it that way you have been loosing a lot of performance.
