Sounds like water flo problem, did you put an impreller in when you serviced it??
Temp alarm....Your water pump impellor probably needs replaceing.
May be an oil injector then, dont play with it. What about the oil tank under the cowling???
Water separator on the motor? Mine is a 250 merc 4 stroke, has a water separator on the motor that will set off alarm when it has water in it.
If you want to be sure what it is, you'll have to take it somewhere they can hook it to a computer. That will tell exactly what is setting off alarm.
Dang man. To saltwater lucks like mine. It's either oil or temp. Maybe the oils not going in?
I have a 115hp four stroke Suzuki and last year the alarm went off. It was the impellar. I had to have some unrelated work done on it this year so while they were in it I had aother impellar put in it so that I didn't have to done next year. Also had the oil changed.

4 stroke doesn't need oil? Never had one before
Major. Was it a beep beep beep or a continuous beep. Oil and temp sensors will go out

Never been around a 4 stroke before
Here are some pics. That glass tube could be a filter.

Oil is very clean.
Anyone know if that's a filter in the 1st and 2nd pics. 2006 merc 4 stroke EFT 75hp.
That's a water separator filter major....It has a float inside that is supposed to float up if you have water in your fuel. Your alarm is temperature....your either running hot or your temp sender could have gone bad....also a stream of water out the pee hole does not mean everything is OK...Its just a flow indicator.....you can have a weak water pump and the pee hole still have a stream of water.
Thanks G
You might have pick up a plastic bag on the lower unit
Didn't u have a new impeller installed? Hope they got it goin the right direction. Intake cud b partially stopped up. Or like wd said, cuda picked up something and now it's gone.
If it was installed with the fins on the impellor going the wrong direction it will still pump water but not good enough to keep from running hot. Dunno.....it could be just a bad temp sensor setting the alarm off.
If it has water in it the float inside will be floating......that's the way my 90 4 stroke Yammy works anyway ......my filter looks just like majors....same location too. I did install a big spin on water separator filter though between the fuel tank and the engine. That way with the water problems caused by ethanol I have extra protection.
Only takes about a tablespoon of water to set my alarm off.
Does that filter in my pics just screw off??
Should
Unscrewed it and found no water but there was a lot of tiny black specks, most likely from the inside of the bulb. Weather too bad down here to put it in the water, will try that tomorrow.
There are plenty of marine shops down there. Go let one hook it to the computer and quit guessing.
blacks specks sounds like fuel line particles cause by ethanol eating the inside of your fuel line up. The new fuel lines ( the gray ones) are alcohol resistant and are marked as such and they will not come apart.
They make alcohol resistant bulbs now also
Ran it this morning on the Rez WOT for about 30min, no problems. Must have been something in the filter.
Was nice on the Rez this morning.
good deal major
