September or October? Where? Ideas and suggestion!!
Either late Oct or early Sept. Need to check with Ark, Mo ans Ala to try to coincide with them so Slab and the rest of the yankees can make one big swing.:Rofl
Oct on Nader
Late October, Nader or Sardis. I think Sardis has better facilities to accommodate everyone. Wish we could have one on the Ten-Tom but there is no place with cabins, just campsites. Unless y'all are willing to go to Pickwick, JP Coleman park has everything
November on BARNETT. Time to move it South abit for ONCE
duck season has started for us yankees in november and I was at least wanting to have a chance to come down to meet all the gubers that billbob talks about
Grenada is fine.. Ain't goin back to Sardis..
First of Oct. Sardis Enid of Grenada
Timber lake Campgrounds right on the rez. Plenty of parking and camper spots. Torch stays there all the time
Did not know that and I understand you are peeved at them. The problem is we gonna have 2 camps a year and are now limited to 2 lakes with facilities to accommodate everyone. DD, I would love to have it at Barnett but there are no cabins. Okatibbee could work but its a dink hole and way out of the way for most of you.
Just thought about Washington. Could it work?
Need to have one on Pickwick there are plenty of places that have cabins and camping both, I'm like some of the others need to change places for a change!
Me and i believe a whole lot of others ain't staying in a tent.
Dont fall in the fire wherever it is
That would be fine but you also got to remember some members wont travel that far either. We need to keep it CENTRALLY located.
I wanted y'all to see this. Man is camped three spaces over and has had his boat parked in this spot all day...no one has been by to say a word to him. Orville and I watched as some people in a pop up camper had three vehicles parked in the grass all day...nobody told them to move. RIDICULOUS!!!!
Only one problem with Pickwick... Too close to some really good bars... I repeat, too close to some really good bars...

OOOOPS...so mad I forgot to attach the pic
You are right rip but let us have camp there and their sight changes. And for goodness sake DONT PARK ON THE GRASS.
We went to Sardis quite a few times before that one incident. Anything can happen once!!! Anywhere is OK with me tho. None of the three lakes with facilities are that far from the house.
heck come up to illinois with the yankees, we park were ever we want, as many as we want, and as long as we want and the campground host dont say a thing. Even have those wheelchair races behind the pickup trucks. I thought you guys were laid back down south we got it made compared to you guys.
i think we should have fall camp at the Christie Cabaret save your dollars boys were going to rip the roof off that place
Ar. Has not schedule there's yet but they always have it mid sept. Due to deer season !!!!
Pickwick/ Bay Springs in the fall would be an awesome experience. I know that the leaves changing and the sheer beauty of this lake would be amazing. This place is BIG though and can get real bad real quick in the wind, but it is a river and you can find a place out of the wind. I know there are plenty of fish as well. Seen plenty of pics of limits from this spring, while I was in Grenada watching the water jump, not catching a dang thing. JP Coleman has enough room for everybody on Pickwick. Piney Woods has a great campground on an Island on Bay Springs. Just my 2 pennies...
If you have never been up there you need to check it out one time anyway.
Pickwick in the fall is awesome!!!!! Been to 3 of he last 4 camps and nuttin at Nader, ole girl is feeling left out and who in the country would complain about going to the nations number 1 crappie spot. Campgounds at the North Abuntment are new and very nice, big pavillion there or an even bigger one below the dam, things huge, with a play ground there. Cabins at Hugh White are decent but there are a couple hotels close to Lakeway that are better for the money.
Nader is fine with me, close to home
there is a state park at SARDIS and you can park on the grass on the other side of the boat ramp and they a fish cleaning station there
The rangers drove by and I stopped them to ask them about the boat. They said they were looking for who it belongs to so they can tell him to move. They are out enforcing the same rules here today...just seems like they were around more during fall camp. We could always stay at John Kyle State park...bet they would be happy to have us.
Let's do Pickwick!
whereever it is, We're taking off for 3 or 4 days from work to come to it. We've missed 3 camps now and jonesing to see everybody. Plus we're not gonna go on a vacation this year anywhere, this will be our vacation
