Yep, WAY too bulky fo anything else. They will work but something low profile is more conveinent. Congrats on the reels tho, will make for a fun summer.Quote:

Your going to love them that's what I run year round no need to buy an extra set for slow trolling. Slap on some 3 ounce weight and roll brother.
I got line counters and poles for pulling, got some stiff poles for fishing double minnow rigs with heavy weight, I got spider rigging poles, and then I have my jigging poles. And just bought 3 more spider rigging poles. Dang does it ever end?
the jigging for me is just a few trips, and the trolling will last all summer and fall. so no need for me to not use these reels for both. but I know what you guys are saying and thanks to all for the input. about 3 more weeks until I get to try them on WB lake.
I used em spider riggin for one year and it's like lifting a lead pipe tryin to set the hook. Great for cranks, not my favorite for slow trollin
