    they will be mounted on ht 12' rods, and will be used for slow trolling jigs, and will be used as line holders while jigging. you guys think these reels are only good for trolling Bandits?

    Yep, WAY too bulky fo anything else. They will work but something low profile is more conveinent. Congrats on the reels tho, will make for a fun summer.

    Yep linecounters for crankbaits only....don't need a line counter for spider rigging....get some cheap baitcasters with thumbars for that.

    Nothin wrong with that, I got 2 14s with linecounters I use for Jigs and Cranks. No sense having extra poles and reels when 1 does 2 jobs.
