Trying to take some "pressure" off the lake. I don't agree with it but oh well. We play the hand we are dealt I guess

Will give it more pressure not less

Wish they'd lower the limit on Barnett to 20 n set a 10 inch minimum.
They was hoping to decrease pressure by lowerin the total number leaving the lake. That was the angle I was going with lol

That will not work.........there will be more pressure and more fish leaveing the lake because of the 10 inch rule even with the limit reduced to fifteen they will have more fish leave the lake.
Heck. You can limit out on 11. 1/2 inch fish in bout an hour lol
The size limit was 10" for decades, and it didn't hurt. The real pressure is on the bigger fish now!!! People will catch their limit sooner with the 10" size limit, and go home. The 12" rule has only been in effect for 6-8 yrs, and the economy around Sardis has suffered, especially during the summer months, when most business' earn the bulk of their annual income. There used to be 4-5 good bait shops around the lake, now there is only 2, and one of those has very limited services. Hearns is gone, and so is the place where 315 splits, between Sardis and the Dam Store. That was a good place with lots of parking too!!! There used to be a bait shop where the motorcycle club is right before the Dam Store also. Without the summer time revenues, they have all had to shut down.
Give it a chance, if ya don't want to keep fish less than 12", then throw em back!!!!! JMHO

I'm sure the feeling will wear off but it will sure feel great to put that first 11 15/16" fish in the box. You know, the ones that usually have that little smirk on their little Slimey faces when you net em.
No doubt BRM. 30 ten inchers for ever and nobody complained then. At least some can say they caught a limit now.
I truly hate the 30 limit on Barnett. Look at Eagle, the fish make a comeback n over 100 boats a day got a few weeks and at 50 a fay there they did hurt the population. No, they didn't catch them all but they put a detours dent in them. Figure 2 people in a boat plus just say 50 boats a day for 2 months. That's 6000 fish right there. If it were just say 20 a day limit you saved 4000 fish got another day or that would be able to spawn
Them 11 15/16" fish in my boat had a foot print on one side!!!! Made em 121/4". Lmao

Major and I caught well over a hundred fish between 10 and 12 inches there in a fruitjar and still didn't wind up with 7 legal fish. We'd have been culling our butts off with the new rules. Lol
Hehehe!!! The 13"ers had a footprint on BOTH sides too.
