All I can say is --> Me and RR didn't get the biggest fish, and we didn't get the heaviest five fish.
BUT, we did bring home the "most" fish ! ! ! ! ! :):):)
Congrats to Huntinslabs ! ! ! ! !
Nice seein everyone ..............
Awesome photos Danny. Good to see everyone and a pleasure to meet the new guys Lhart and his friend. Congratulations HS on your winning WTG! Thanks crappieday for hosting and the super door prizes (i didn't win anything). Thanks Slab for taking the time to be with us, knowing you had along way to go (drive) this afternoon. It was a great slabfest afterall. The weather was nearly perfect and the fishing was better than ever. My son and I caught 32 fatties by 11am. No complaints here!! Thanks to whoever brought the covered dishes and desserts. Thanks to cg1 for taking pictures..thanks to folks that helped clean up and tote stuff to the truck. The extra effort in cleaning-up (tables wiped down etc.) didn't go unnoticed. The rangers told Crappieday they appreciated it very much.

We made it to just north of Atlanta tonight. Got a whole day of driving ahead of me tomorrow.
Had a great time in Florida. The slab fest food was awesome. Gator, slaw, puppies, trout, crappie, fish soup, and especially that crappie.com cake. It was all great. Thanks for having it, and thanks for having me.
Speckanator, you've spoiled my Florida fishing forever. Thanks for showing how its done on Monroe.

After checking every weather site available on Wednesday morning and seeing how bad it was going to be I decided the wife and I would go to Savanna to visit freinds. Had a good time, but that will the the very last time I ever listen to $%^&*# weather people. Chimpanzees can predict the weather better then these yohoo's. Glad it turnd out to be a nice day for those that attended. Congrats. Huntingslabs. Great pics. and catch to all.

Hit Monroe yesterday at daybreak...set up for first drift in the brutal wind...2 off the bat, reset for second drift, winds got worse :( Decided to go over to the power plant side to get some wind relief, nothing on one drift. Went to Bethel Creek entrance, nothing....bass fished with minners & soft plastics, 1 dink bass. Went back out and set a drift in front of Stone Island, nothing. Went over around the overpass but 1 dink bass, pretty much called it a day. Moral of the story...12-14 MPH winds locally translates to 18-22 MPH winds on the lake with 2-3 ft swells.
Missed u Russ

We did pretty much the opposite. We didn't want to fight the wind so we stayed in the river (up near Highbanks... Snake River) and stayed out of the wind and used minnows and bobbers for the first time this season. Put boat in the pads, found a nice hole, chummed (and chummed) and even had a catfish pole out into the bottom of the creek with a bell on it so we would know when we had a hit. Had lots of fun... got one speck right away and missed one. Then nothing. Went back to Highbanks and got overpriced cheeseburgers for lunch to settle our beer... lol. Then we decided the wind would probably lay down some so had the idea of going out to Monroe. Headed out, got there about 4PM... swells were a couple feet high but manageable, we didn't have much time before dark so went about half way out, trolled back and caught 6 specks (5 keepers for dinner) and we were the only brave (or dumb) souls out there that we could see. No parking lot yesterday afternoon... lol. Headed back in before dark and had some fried and grilled catch of the day for dinner at the ol rv. We haven't figured out speck fishing on the river yet, but I have a feeling we will figure it out around January.

Ginny
Not so great.... Sun wouldn't come out in the morning and it was cold and dreary. Trolled the river a little near the new PP and had a few keepers but most were dinks. Got in shallow water on one side and caught a couple brim trolling... Lol. Threw them back. Finnaly opted for lunch at the Deli at Boat Tree Marina to warm up and have a chance to chat.
I did not think that yesterday would be a good day to be on the water. Overcast and cool would not be a great day on the water.
Anyone fishing wed(5th)..-shu
Hitting Monroe tomorrow morning, are they in the creeks yet, or still the usual spots?
