That's why I was there. Here's the most important piece of equipment today. Tough to keep it in the cup in the white caps.

You are one tough hombre....or touched...lol
Oh,,The chill bumps will go away eventually,,surely...lol
They haven't yet. Maybe by may or june. Couldn't feel my hands. Made it tough using the ipilot remote.
Let's go with touched. Had the lake to myself except when a couple dudes launched. I overheard one say to the other "it aint too bad". They didn't last very long.
did you catch them all????? Im on call all weekend or I would probably been there too.......Hard core
hands and feet are still without feeling, I feel your pain rcc
I'll be able to relate this time tomorrow
ur r a crzy person dang u mad at the fish or what
That's why I chose to work on the lease today, getting ready for the upcoming turkey season. I can still remember last year gasing up the boat at 8 degree's and trying to find a spot that wasn't froze over to drop an offering to them. We still caught about 40 though, which is proof if your around crappie weather isn't much of a deterrent. My buddy and his dad went yesterday and caught over 50 but dad didn't wanna make the long drive West and I told him we still had time before spawn to get back on them.
20+ mph here...gusting to near 30. Saw 1 truck/trailer on the ramp all afternoon. Bet he was hiding in a cove somewhere though.
Windy and cold I stayerd home but with the calm I'm thinking about it today if it warms just a little.
I ventured out to Conway. Yes it was tough, but the crappie were biting. No size, not worthy of pictures on this site.
Ahhh my nice, warm couch.
RCC, I humbly disagree with your fish not being worthy of posting pics of...Sure,,everyone wants to see a cooler full of slabs but thats not realistic for most of us, we go,,we fish, we enjoy, we EAT'M...we're basicly happy with what we are catching. or should be. I just came in from the lake, after having called a friend to come fishing with me, we had a tuff day, maybe had 15 between us, non of them were big enough, even with a vivid imagination to be called slabs. But you know what, its was cold,,wind was battering us, fish were small, but I promise you, neither him nor I reget going and had my batterys not died in my camera,,I'd a been tickled pink to post pics. We certainly made a man and woman who were taking out when we did a happy couple, we gave them our fish...they thanks us repeatly...that was pretty good fish I'd say!!!
I'm sure that made their day xring, and put a bright spot in yours as well !! I think the more good deeds a person does the better his life will be. I work in home health and was able to carry crappie filets to two shut-in couples as well as a single shut-in man last week. These were all folks that used to enjoy crappie fishing just like us but are not able and will not ever be able to do that again. But they still savor being able to eat a fresh cooked crappie filet and remember the good times they used to have on the water.... It is a priviledge to be able to make someone's day like that and just seeing the smile on their face was enough to make my day also....remember, we will someday be in the same predicament if we live long enough!
couldnt said it better myself! its worth it all to see that smile from someone that appreciates little things like a good ole fried feelay
Now xring, I humbly disagree with you disagreeing with me. I'm gonna post a picture of a fish. I made an attempt to long arm this one to hide his actual size. In all of your posting I've never seen you post a picture of one this little, and even if you did, I would know that it would be the rare exception for you to catch one this tiny. So for sake of proving my point, here is a crappie.

This was my first crappie of 2012 yesterday. Pure dee ole pitiful. Yesterdays catch was a few good 6 inchers and some small ones. Now wouldn't you be afraid to be caught in a pic with fish that smallRofl It was so small it's shadow weighed more that the actual fish.
Hey xring, my fish are so small I've been duct taping 2 filets end to end so my wife don't snicker everytime she drops a "filet" in the grease.
Dude!! When you "long arm" you're supposed to hold the fish toward the camera, not away from it!!
Dang snickering wimmin, lol....They have no idea what we men go through trying to keep fish on the table. or,,in your case minners/////roflmbo
You know,,they have those pretty ones you can put in a clear bowl, makes a pretty table ornament, at least you can see'm swimming around while you eat sardines...lol
[QUOTE=RCC;1799324] In all of your posting I've never seen you post a picture of one this little, and even if you did, I would know that it would be the rare exception for you to catch one this tiny.
That's because his camera doesn't have a Macro setting. RoflXring's Rule of thumb crappie measuring: Check the lip and then check the anal gland. If they are not touching, it's a keeper.
I've never claimed to be the sharpest knife in the drawer. Maybe if I'da gotta the leeettle fishy over behind the bucket more
Nimrod just rurn't the fishing relationship my wife and I had. He said to come on over and fish. We show up and it was exactly like he said only better. I had been telling her for years "Now Baby, you can't expect them to just jump on the hook. It's just normal to only catch one little bittie fish every 3 or 4 hours". Now she is just rurn't she wouldn't even go with me at all Saturday. All she wants to do is go back over west of Conway and south of Dardanelle. One of these days we'll show up and after a few days of fishing, Nimrod will be saying, why don't ya'll go fish Dardanelle with Mr X and rtarkRofl
Come on over RCC, we'll welcome you,,but also check your tackle, only one pole allowed,,NO trolling, NO spider rigging, NO joke...OH,,and NO minners...lol
Ya'll get yo'self down here, we'll have fun I betcha.....we may not catch'm like NIMROD does,,but we'll entertain you with stories about how good we used to be!
Seriously, looking forward to meeting you!
xring, You sound like someone else I ran into last year on Lake of the Ozarks. I'll see if I can find the thread.
This long thread is dedicated to you xringrotfl

Hey RCC - If you keep talking bad about our lake I will pad lock the ramp at the dam. Its the only place I can catch a limit
I love crappie.com you all are nuts! Good stuff
