I ventured out to Conway. Yes it was tough, but the crappie were biting. No size, not worthy of pictures on this site.

You better bring your A game if you want to post fish pics on this site. Between big fish and big coolers full of fish, the few minners that I catch don't deserve an honorable mention. Fortunately, they still taste pretty good when cooked just right.

RCC, I humbly disagree with your fish not being worthy of posting pics of...Sure,,everyone wants to see a cooler full of slabs but thats not realistic for most of us, we go,,we fish, we enjoy, we EAT'M...we're basicly happy with what we are catching. or should be. I just came in from the lake, after having called a friend to come fishing with me, we had a tuff day, maybe had 15 between us, non of them were big enough, even with a vivid imagination to be called slabs. But you know what, its was cold,,wind was battering us, fish were small, but I promise you, neither him nor I reget going and had my batterys not died in my camera,,I'd a been tickled pink to post pics. We certainly made a man and woman who were taking out when we did a happy couple, we gave them our fish...they thanks us repeatly...that was pretty good fish I'd say!!!

I'm sure that made their day xring, and put a bright spot in yours as well !! I think the more good deeds a person does the better his life will be. I work in home health and was able to carry crappie filets to two shut-in couples as well as a single shut-in man last week. These were all folks that used to enjoy crappie fishing just like us but are not able and will not ever be able to do that again. But they still savor being able to eat a fresh cooked crappie filet and remember the good times they used to have on the water.... It is a priviledge to be able to make someone's day like that and just seeing the smile on their face was enough to make my day also....remember, we will someday be in the same predicament if we live long enough!

Now xring, I humbly disagree with you disagreeing with me. I'm gonna post a picture of a fish. I made an attempt to long arm this one to hide his actual size. In all of your posting I've never seen you post a picture of one this little, and even if you did, I would know that it would be the rare exception for you to catch one this tiny. So for sake of proving my point, here is a crappie.

This was my first crappie of 2012 yesterday. Pure dee ole pitiful. Yesterdays catch was a few good 6 inchers and some small ones. Now wouldn't you be afraid to be caught in a pic with fish that smallRofl It was so small it's shadow weighed more that the actual fish.

Hey xring, my fish are so small I've been duct taping 2 filets end to end so my wife don't snicker everytime she drops a "filet" in the grease.
