What kind of fillet knife do you use? What are the pros and cons? If Santa Claus were to bring you another this year, which one would you ask for?
Thanks

I have a 110v. American Angler. Rarely, if ever, do I fillet more than just a mess for the three of us here at home so mine works good for 6-10 fish, depending on the size of the fish. I have filleted larger messes of fish at times to give to my Dad or Uncle though. And it did the job just fine.Thumbs Up BTW, I aint much with the blunt blades...I prefer the pointed ones.
mister twister piranha is never bad..

American angler seems to be great, have used to clean several hundred fish with this knife this year and is holding up.
american angler with the thin blades ask wannabe im sure he only uses the best when cleaning that one fishThumbs Up
looks like American Angler wins. Mine's 3 years old and still running strong.
I try to have 2 electric knives when I am cleaning 20+ fish. I do this so I do not have to stop and let the knife cool off. Those knives will get smoking hot after a while. I think I have one Wal-mart special and a Rapala one that will run on 12V dc or 110 V ac. The knife is important, but the blades make the knife. I use the pointy blades. They seem to work better for me.
